PRODUCTION PROCESS

Amsted Tonghe adopts the ABC Cast Wheel Technology with the sand cake on graphite methodology, which is originated from Amsted Industry of the U.S., through this technology, the company is able to produce castings with clean surface and high precision on the wheel dimension. The advantage of graphite with it’s excellent heat-conducting property is to control the directional solidification in the rim of the wheel, ensuring a solid structure that will enhance its performance and durability in service.

The company owns more than 3000 sets of equipment and instruments for manufacturing wheels with high quality, such as PLC automatic production line, electric arc furnace, CNC lathe, rotary furnace, tempering furnace, MT system, UT system, brinell hardness tester, universal tensile testing machines, balancing machines, spectrometers, metallographic microscopes, etc.

QUALITY INSPECTION

Wheel Dimension Check: By adopting various geometric inspection gauges, the appearance & geometric shapes of wheels are inspected.

Non-destructive Inspection: We have a high-quality NDT team to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of wheel inspection. The main testing equipment includes on-line Brinell hardness tester, Magnetical particle testing system, Ultrasonic flaw detector, balancing machine, etc.

Destructive Test: Destructive testing is a necessary link to detect whether the overall performance of the wheel meets the standard. The testings include tensile, impact, section hardness distribution, and micro-cleanliness analysis of liquid steel.
